Conditions
  • There are no special fares for passengers with a disability, they travel at a regular fare.
  • There is a reduced fare for the accompanying passenger, the Companion fare. The price of the Companion fare is the same in first and second class.
 
Travelling with a wheelchair 
  • There are 1 or 2 adapted wheelchair spaces on the train in coaches 1, 11 or 21.
  • The maximum dimensions of a wheelchair (folding, electric or otherwise) or a mobility scooter are: 120 x 70 cm (l x w).
  • The seats beside the wheelchair spaces remain free for accompanying passengers. It is not necessary/possible to reserve these seats.
  • You pay the price of a second-class ticket, even if the wheelchair space is in first class.
 
Travelling with a registered assistance dog
  • Guide dogs and other assistance dogs travel for free, without a ticket.
  • A muzzle is not required.

  • You can book tickets for passengers with an impairment and their companion:
    • at a NS International Service desk or
    • from NS International Customer service on +31 30-2300023.
  • Passengers can request travel assistance in getting on and off the train from NS Travel Assistance.
    • Please submit your request at least 24 hours before departure of the train.
