General terms and conditions
  • Passengers of all ages must have their own, valid proof of identity and be able to present this for inspection during the journey.
  • They must have all the required visas or other immigration documents needed for the countries they are travelling through.
  • Minors (aged under 18) travelling alone or accompanied by an adult who is not their parent or legal guardian must be in possession of written proof of consent from a parent or legal guardian to travel.

Conditions per age group
Aged up to 3
  • Children aged up to 3:
    • Travel for free and without a ticket if they do not occupy a seat of their own.
    • Travel at a children’s fare (see category aged 4 to 11) if they occupy a seat of their own.
  • Children aged up to 3 always travel accompanied by:
    • A parent or guardian.
    • An adult traveller who has written consent from the child's parent(s) or guardian.
 
Aged 4 to 11
  • Children aged 4 to 11 travel at the children's fare.
  • Children aged up to 11 always travel accompanied by:
    • A parent or legal guardian.
    • An adult traveller who has written consent from the child's parent(s) or guardian.
 
Aged 12 to 25
  • Passengers aged 12 or over can travel at the Jongerentarief [Youth  fare], if this is available.
  • If the youth tickets are sold out, a young person travels at the regular fare for adults.
  • Minors must be able to prove in writing that their parent(s) or guardian give consent to the journey.
 
On the train
  • The TGV is equipped with special baby-changing facilities (nursery) in coach 7 or 17.
  • You can have babies' bottles and meals heated up at the TGV bar.
