Paper Eurail and Interrail Passes
Eurail and Interrail ticket covers have a square barcode that you can use to open the gates at railway stations in the Netherlands.
The square barcode can be used for the entire validity period of the pass.
If the square barcode does not work / no longer works, please request a new ticket cover from the NS International desk at Amsterdam Centraal or Schiphol Airport.
Mobile Eurail and Interrail Passes
Mobile passes are imported into the Eurail / Interrail Rail Planner app.
The day ticket that is generated in the app for a particular travel date has a square barcode. Go to My Pass and tap Show ticket to display the barcode on the screen of the mobile phone.The barcode opens the gate on that particular day.
When the square barcode does not work / no longer works, please:
go to an Information column next to the gates and press the blue button for help.
ask a NS-service employee for assistance, if you can find one at that station.
