Booking and (after)sales

For this train, you need a train ticket and an optional separate seat reservation. A seat reservation is not mandatory, but strongly recommended.
You can book a ticket at:

Luggage
You must be able to carry the luggage yourself. The luggage should be stored in the designated spaces below or above the seat and should not hinder others. The maximum is 2 pieces of large luggage and 1 piece of hand luggage. Luggage of 90 x 60 x 40 cm or larger is considered large luggage. Smaller luggage is hand luggage. In carriage 255 there are two stowage places for a pram.

Traveling with a disability
Eurocity has a carriage with wheelchair spaces. For all Eurocity's on the route Berlin ⇔ Prague this is carriage number 255, seats 25 and 27.

Traveling with children
Eurocity has a carriage with a closed compartment for a family with children. For all Eurocity's on the route Berlin ⇔ Prague this is carriage number 255, seats 31-38. In EC 378 and 379 these are also seats 14-17.

Traveling with a bicycle
Eurocity has a carriage with hooks on which you can hang your bicycle. For all Eurocity's on the route Berlin <-> Prague, this is carriage number 255, seat number 12-18, 21, 23, 25 and 27. If you reserve one or more of these seats, you reserve a fold-out seat that automatically entitles you to a bicycle hook. You can then hang the bicycle on the hook and sit on the fold-out seat. If you prefer to sit in a regular seat, you can make an additional reservation for this.

  • Pets are allowed on the train as long as they do not interfere with other fellow travelers.
  • If fellow travelers are bothered by a pet, the train manager can ask you and the pet to sit at a different place.
  • The pet needs a pet passport: more information about this can be found at the vet.
  • Small pets are allowed free of charge in a cage, bag or basket of maximum 90 x 60 x 40 cm.
  • Medium/large dogs that are not transported in a bag or basket must travel with a dog ticket, be on a leash and wear a muzzle.
