General terms and conditions 
  • Children must hold a valid passport or identity card in their own name. 
  • Children must have all the required visas or other immigration documents for the countries they are travelling through. 
  • Minors (aged under 18) not accompanied by a parent or guardian must be able to prove in writing that they are travelling with consent from the parent(s) or guardian. 
 
Conditions per age group 
Aged up to 3
  • Children aged up to 3 travel:
    • For free and without a ticket if they do not occupy a seat of their own. 
    • At the "Child up to 4" fare, if you wish to book them a seat of their own. 
  • Children aged up to 3 always travel accompanied by: 
    • A parent or guardian. 
    • An adult passenger in possession of a consent statement from the parent(s) or guardian. 
  • Services on the train for parents:
    • The TGV is equipped with special baby-changing facilities (nursery) in coach 7 or 17.
    • You can have babies' bottles and meals heated up at the TGV bar.
 
Aged 4 to 11
  • Children aged 4 to 11 travel at the children's fare. 
    • Flex Child. 
    • Semi-flex Child. 
    • Non-flex Child.  
  • Children aged up to 11 always travel accompanied by: 
    • A parent or legal guardian. 
    • An adult passenger in possession of a consent statement from the parent(s) or guardian. 
 
Aged 12 to 17
  • There is no special fare for passengers aged over 12; they travel at the regular fare. 
  • Minors must be able to prove that their parent(s) or guardian give consent to the journey.
