Conditions 
Travelling with a wheelchair 
  • In the TGV, the wheelchair spaces are located in 1st class. The fare for the accompanying passenger must be booked in the same class as that for the passenger in a wheelchair. In the case of passengers with a different type of disability being accompanied, the choice is free. 
  • The maximum dimensions of a non-folding wheelchair (electric or otherwise) or mobility scooter are: 
    120 x 70 cm (l x w). 
  • There is no special fare for passengers in a wheelchair; they travel at the regular fare. 
  • Accompanying passengers travel at the accompanying-passenger fare.  
    • The seats beside the wheelchair spaces remain free for accompanying passengers. 
    • It is not possible/necessary to reserve accompany-passenger seats. 

Travelling with a visual impairment 
  • There is no special fare for passengers with a visual impairment; they travel at the regular fare. 
  • Accompanying passengers travel at the Companion fare. The companion is not required to travel in the same class as the person with a disability.
 
Travelling with a registered assistance dog 
  • Guide dogs and other assistance dogs travel for free, without a ticket. A muzzle is not required.

  • You can request assistance with getting on and off the train from NS Travel Assistance.
  • Requests for assistance during an international journey should be submitted at least 24 hours before departure of the train.
